I’m Ajay. I’m a computer science enthusiast and a software engineer. I like to learn by using technologies and, if I can, by trying to build a version of them myself. I like to believe that everyone should reinvent the wheel every now and then.

I’m particularly interested in infrastructure services, computer networks, protocols, and databases. This blog is a record of my experiments and is intended for fellow engineers like me. It’s where I share the things I build and the lessons I learn along the way.

During the day, I work as a Senior Software Engineer at Couchbase, where I build infrastructure services.
